I am a legally trained professional with experience at Webber Wentzel, one of Africa’s top-tier law firms, where I gained in-depth exposure to corporate, regulatory, and transactional legal work. My practice has focused on corporate and commercial law, with hands-on involvement in mergers and acquisitions, legal due diligence, and drafting of commercial contracts including MOIs, sale of business agreements, loan agreements, and facility agreements. I’ve assisted clients with structuring and compliance issues related to the Companies Act, JSE Listings Requirements, and foreign exchange control regulations. I’ve contributed to transactions requiring engagement with regulatory authorities such as the Takeover Regulation Panel and the Reserve Bank, analysing ownership structures and regulatory implications. I supported senior attorneys in onboarding clients, managing FICA and KYC processes, and overseeing the movement of client funds into trust accounts. My work extended into advisory functions, including drafting board resolutions, analysing transaction risk, and ensuring alignment with sound corporate governance practices. I’ve also worked within multi-disciplinary teams to host corporate clients, prepare for board and client meetings, and manage transactional timelines. With prior rotation in Dispute Resolution and Regulatory, I also gained experience advising on public procurement and regulatory compliance in sensitive industries. I bring a detailed, solutions-oriented approach, a strong work ethic, and an ability to contribute meaningfully within fast-paced legal teams. My academic background includes an LLM in Commercial Law from the University of Cape Town and an LLB from North-West University, equipping me with both the theoretical and practical knowledge.
